Job Title: New Product Developer - Paarl Start Date: 2026-08-19 - 2026-09-18 Vacancy Type: Permanent CPT000485 Sectors: Manufacturing Location: Western Cape , Paarl Salary: (Market related) Brief: A leading dairy and food manufacturing company in the Boland is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented R&D / NPD Coordinator to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing, R&D, NPD or technical administration who enjoys the administrative and coordination side of product development. Detail: Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and coordination support to the R&D and NPD function. Maintain product specifications, recipes, formulations and technical documentation. Coordinate new product development projects and track project timelines. Arrange and document product trials, tastings and evaluations. Maintain accurate records of samples, trials, results and product changes. Assist with product costing and cost comparisons. Coordinate information between R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Marketing. Prepare reports, spreadsheets and project documentation. Assist with customer and supplier product information and specifications. Ensure NPD documentation is accurate, complete and up to date. Follow up on outstanding actions and ensure deadlines are met. Assist with documentation required for quality, food safety and certification requirements. Requirements Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Technology or a related field would be advantageous. Previous experience in NPD, R&D, food manufacturing, quality or technical administration. Dairy/FMCG experience will be highly advantageous. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent communication and follow-up abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Accurate and methodical approach to documentation and data. Ability to work effectively across different departments. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is highly organised, analytical and detail-focused, with excellent administration and coordination skills. This is not primarily a hands-on laboratory R&D position. The focus is on ensuring that product development projects are properly coordinated, documented, tracked and followed through from concept to implementation.
