Network Security Engineer (Tufin)

Job Description We are seeking a technically strong engineer with expertise in complex enterprise networks, firewall management, and systems integration. This role blends operations, development, and solution design, requiring independent troubleshooting, integration development, and coordination with external providers. The successful candidate must have strong analytical skills and proven experience in highly complex technical environments. Adaptability to evolving technical and operational demands is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and enhance thefirewall management platform (commercial and custom-built components).
• Develop platform components,integrations, and automation workflows (Python, APIs, database queries).
• Troubleshoot complex issues acrossnetworks, systems, and applications.
• Coordinate, delegate, and guideexternal service providers for operational and development work.
• Ensure platform stability throughpatching, monitoring, performance tuning, and risk identification.
• Prepare environments for go-live andprovide post-deployment support.
• Maintain accurate documentation(technical specs, procedures, training material).
• Participate in incident, change, andproblem management processes.
• Engage with stakeholders as thetechnical owner of the platform, including international teams.
• Participate in standby, shift, andafter-hours operations as required.
• Travel internationally for up to two weeks when necessary.

Requirements

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of enterprisenetworking, routing, and firewall security architectures.
• Advanced troubleshooting acrosssystems, networks, and applications.
• Solid programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with API, database, and network integrations
• Experience delivering and maintainingcomplex software solutions, including automation.
• Hands-on experience with operationalprocesses: patching, monitoring, log analysis, performance optimization.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, scripting,and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise governance processes (incident, change, problem management).

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with firewall rulemanagement platforms (Tufin preferred).
• Strong Linux experience; additionalscripting/programming skills (Bash, JavaScript).
• Experience with containers(Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience coordinating work packageswith external service providers.
• Ability to analyze complexenvironments and propose improvements.
• Strong communication for technicaland non-technical stakeholders.
• Agile methodologies and release management experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant technical degree (BSc/MScComputer Science, Information Systems, BEng inComputer/Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• IT diploma candidates withexceptional hands-on experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years' experience incomplex technical environments.
• Demonstrated practical competencethrough prior projects, portfolio, or real-world problem-solving.
