Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (100% Office-Based)
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and datacentre networks.
- Administer and manage FortiGate Firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and security policies.
- Configure and maintain Extreme Networks switching infrastructure.
- Support Azure Networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability.
- Maintain technical documentation, disaster recovery readiness, and network security standards.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Enterprise Network Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- FortiGate Firewalls
- Extreme Networks Switching
- Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP)
- Azure Networking & Hybrid Connectivity
- VPNs, Network Security, and Firewall Administration
- Enterprise Monitoring and Incident Management
- Experience working in financial services or insurance will be an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- Fortinet NSE4/NSE5 (or equivalent)
- Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
- CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
- ITIL Foundation (Advantageou
