A respected and long-standing player in the lighting sector is looking to appoint a Project Lighting sales specialist for its Benrose operation. The cmpany is looking for a motivated, dynamic, and results-driven Project Lighting Sales Representative to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships across the retail, hospitality, wholesale, commercial, and project sectors .

This role requires someone with a passion for sales, excellent technical aptitude, and the ability to provide lighting solutions tailored to each customer's requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical wholesalers, retailers, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, consultants, and project managers.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial, hospitality, residential, and retail markets.

• Promote and sell company range of decorative, architectural, commercial, and smart lighting solutions.

• Prepare quotations, product presentations, and lighting proposals.

• Assist customers in selecting suitable lighting products based on technical and aesthetic requirements.

• Manage projects from initial enquiry through specification, quotation, order placement, delivery, and after-sales support.

• Conduct regular customer visits and product demonstrations.

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

• Monitor competitor activity and identify market trends.

• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate new business.

• Work closely with internal sales, technical support, and logistics teams to ensure excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years' external sales experience.

• Previous experience in the lighting, electrical, or construction industry will be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of project sales and specification selling.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office and CRM systems).

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
