We are seeking an experienced and results-driven National Procurement Manager to establish and lead procurement function across the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously improve Procurement Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Establish procurement governance frameworks aligned with the Company's Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with Board-approved procurement policies and governance requirements.
- Conduct regular procurement compliance reviews and internal procurement audits.
- Perform detailed spend analysis to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop procurement performance metrics, dashboards and supplier compliance measurement tools.
- Drive procurement standardisation and process improvements across all business units.
- Ensure procurement decisions are transparent, equitable and fully documented.
- Lead procurement-related change management initiatives across the organisation.
- Optimise procurement contracts to minimise commercial, legal and operational risk.
- Ensure no supplier commences work without an approved Purchase Order unless formally authorised under emergency procedures.
- Configure and maintain approval workflows within the ERP system.
- Maintain Purchase Order numbering integrity and system controls.
- Monitor outstanding Purchase Orders and resolve ageing items.
- Close completed Purchase Orders promptly.
- Maintain accurate Purchase Order registers and records.
- Develop sourcing strategies for major expenditure categories.
- Manage RFQ, RFP and formal tender processes.
- Obtain competitive quotations in accordance with procurement policy.
- Facilitate Tender Committee evaluations and recommendations.
- Evaluate suppliers using objective commercial and technical criteria.
- Prepare award recommendations and procurement reports.
- Maintain complete tender documentation and audit trails.
- Manage supplier onboarding processes.
- Conduct supplier due diligence.
- Verify BBBEE compliance.
- Verify tax compliance.
- Conduct banking verification.
- Develop supplier scorecards and KPI measurements.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews.
- Maintain the preferred supplier database.
- Manage supplier development initiatives where appropriate.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
- CIPS, CSCP or equivalent professional procurement qualification will be highly advantageous.
- 7–8 years' experience in strategic sourcing and corporate procurement.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior procurement management role.
- Proven experience implementing ERP procurement systems.
- Demonstrated success in procurement transformation and governance implementation.
- Experience managing high-value procurement portfolios and supplier contracts.
