Role Overview
The role is to support the Farm Manager in running daily operations across all broiler houses. We require a candidate with a hands-on approach to livestock welfare and strict biosecurity adherence.

Role Responsibilities
- The role will report to the Broiler and Contract Grower Manager.
- Assisting with the daily management of the farms.
- Monitoring bird health, welfare, and performance.
- Maintaining high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare.
- Helping to manage farm staff providing guidance and support where needed.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and industry regulations.
- Monitor bird health, mortality rates and feed/water consumption daily.
- Manage ventilation, lighting and temperature controls.
- Enforce strict hygiene protocols to prevent disease outbreaks on site.
- Co-ordinate, schedule and supervise farm staff.
- Keep meticulous records.
- Implementing and maintaining 20 Keys.
- Able to work irregular hours, including weekends, shifts and public holidays.
Required Qualification and Knowledge
- Grade 12
- Agricultural Diploma or Poultry certificate is highly preferred.
- 2-4 years of broiler production experience.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Focus on people,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driving license
- Able to work under pressure
- A pro-active approach to problem solving and operational challenges.
- Adaptable to changing environments.
- Must have a passion for people and animals.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- Good Health and sober habits.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
