Motseng Property Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of technical services across multiple client sites.
This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, stakeholder management, safety compliance, and the continuous improvement of technical service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Develop and manage divisional operational and capital expenditure budgets.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement technical, safety, and security strategies.
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational manuals.
- Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Manage stock levels of spares, consumables, and equipment.
Operations and Technical Services
- Manage maintenance, testing, installations, and repairs across client sites.
- Source quotations and secure approvals for technical work.
- Supervise technical teams and contractors to ensure quality service delivery.
- Conduct inspections of electrical, HVAC, access control, CCTV, fire detection, and security systems.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage company vehicles, tools, and technical equipment.
- Provide technical leadership and support across multiple projects and client engagements.
- Drive continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Conduct Health and Safety audits and inspections.
- Implement and monitor compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Ensure that all staff are equipped with and utilise required PPE.
- Develop and implement policies to mitigate operational and safety risks.
Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly operational and performance reports.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, activity logs, and technical documentation.
- Escalate risks, concerns, and operational challenges to relevant stakeholders.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
- Identify training and development needs.
- Manage performance, attendance, leave, timesheets, and disciplinary matters.
- Support succession planning and employee retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, automation, and profitability.
Recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance service delivery
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum of 8+ years' experience in engineering, operations management, administration, and performance management.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
Proven experience in facilities, safety, security, electrical, HVAC, and related technical environments.
Grade 12 (Matric).
National Diploma or BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Valid registrations with
- SAQCC
- PSiRA
- SARACCA
- ECB
First Aid certification.Firefighting certification.Working at Heights certification will be an advantage
