Start free — we apply for you →Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and integrate mechatronic systems for conveyor and materials handling equipmentSpecify and select instrumentation, sensors, drives, motors and control hardwareDevelop, test and troubleshoot PLC and control system programmingSupport automation and control upgrades on new and existing installationsWork alongside mechanical, electrical and process teams to deliver integrated solutionsConduct FAT, site commissioning, fault-finding and performance optimisationPrepare technical documentation, functional specifications and test proceduresAssist with continuous improvement initiatives and product developmentProvide technical support to clients, site teams and suppliersExperience & QualificationsBEng in Mechatronic Engineering (or Mechanical/Electrical with strong automation exposure)3 8 years experience in a mechatronic, automation or controls engineering roleExposure to conveyors, bulk materials handling, mining or heavy industrial equipment advantageousWorking knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation and industrial control systemsCompetence in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityWillingness to travel to sites as requiredValid drivers licence https://www.executiveplacements.com/Jobs/M/Mechatronic-Engineer-1316392-Job-Search-08-06-2026-10-05-12-AM.asp?sid=gumtree
