MILLWRIGHT Killarney Gardens Cape Town R25,000 – R35,000 p/m , depending on experience and qualifications We are seeking a skilled and dependable Millwright to join an established engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of electrical and mechanical machinery to ensure reliable production and minimal downtime. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.

• Conduct fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery and HMI systems.

• Maintain and repair servo motors, laser equipment and linear scales.

• Inspect and repair electrical control boards and related components.

• Attend to machine breakdowns promptly and minimize production downtime.

• Install, test and commission machinery and equipment where required.

• Identify recurring faults and recommend practical improvements.

• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

• Ensure tools, equipment and spare parts are used and stored correctly.

• Work closely with production and engineering team members.

• Comply with all health, safety and operational procedures.

• Assist with general engineering projects and equipment upgrades.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Millwright with a recognized Trade Test.

• Between three and five years’ relevant post-trade experience.

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.

• Practical experience working with:

• PLC-controlled machinery

• Servo motors

• Laser equipment

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Electrical control boards

• HMI screens

• Linear scales

• Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance practices.

• Able to work independently and as part of an engineering team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to perform effectively under pressure.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, technically capable Millwright who can identify faults quickly, complete repairs accurately and contribute to the ongoing reliability and efficiency of production equipment. Package & Remuneration
