We are specifically seeking a plant-based Millwright , not a general maintenance technician.
Candidates currently or previously employed within food manufacturing, rendering plants, meat/poultry processing, FMCG production or other continuous processing environments are encouraged to apply.
Location : Hammersdale / Cato Ridge Area Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Repairs & Fault Finding – Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, mills, steam cookers, VSDs, instruments, pressure equipment and associated plant machinery .
- Conduct preventative and planned maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Monitor plant equipment and identify potential failures or maintenance requirements.
- Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of plant equipment.
- Ensure machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment faults and repairs.
- Work closely with production and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient plant operation.
- Participate in the Food Safety Team and comply with applicable food safety, quality, health and safety requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
