Mid Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, AIDC) (Green Point Onsite)

ENVIRONMENT

JOIN the growing team of a dynamic provider of cutting-edge Software Solutions seeking a strong technical Mid Systems Integration Engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and working across different technologies. The role involves a combination of technical implementation, hardware configuration, networking and application support. You will work with an Implementation team to set up and maintain integrated technology environments for customers, ensuring that hardware and software solutions work together effectively within warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Linux server environments – preferably Ubuntu, strong networking skills and an interest in working with warehouse technology, including barcode scanning, label printing, RFID and voice-directed solutions. You also need to have experience with AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) technologies, Docker, exposure to Odoo and familiarity with Python & PostgreSQL.

DUTIES

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux server environments, particularly Ubuntu.
• Assist with the implementation and deployment of integrated hardware and software solutions within warehouse environments.
• Configure and support barcode scanning devices, label printers, RFID equipment and voice technology.
• Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues across servers, applications and hardware devices.
• Work with containerised environments, including Docker.
• Assist with application configuration, deployment and ongoing technical support.
• Support the integration of warehouse hardware with software applications and related systems.
• Work alongside the Implementation team to configure, test and deploy solutions according to customer requirements.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues across infrastructure, hardware and application environments.
• Assist with maintaining reliable and effective customer environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support implementations and improve existing technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid experience working with Linux servers, preferably Ubuntu.
• Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Docker and containerisation, or a sound understanding of these technologies.
• Exposure to technical implementation, systems integration, hardware configuration or application support.
• Experience with AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) technologies.
• Exposure to barcode scanning, RFID, label printing or voice-directed warehouse solutions.
• Experience within warehousing, distribution, logistics or supply chain environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP applications.
• Exposure to Odoo or similar business applications.
• Familiarity with Python and PostgreSQL.
• Experience configuring and supporting hardware and software integrations.
