- Sage Evolution experience crucial.
- Must have intermediate excel experience i.e. formulas and pivot tables.
- Have a small creditors book and a small asset register.
- Creditors are predominantly imports.
- Debtors are not included however a monthly reconciliation is required.
- Would be advantageous if they have import knowledge and understand the paperwork.
Essential
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Com Degree in Accounting preferred
- 5+ years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles – IFRS for SME's
- Import regulations around customs documents preferred
Responsibilities include
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Cashbook / Bank Related Transactions
- Journals
- Accruals
- Inventory - Capturing of stock; Assisting with stock count;
- Exports - All export related documentation to be retained on file by export;
- Imports / FEC - Schedule of forex payments and prepayments to be loaded onto the forex schedule and batched in the relevant folder.
- Assets - Register all assets; Acquisitions and depreciation
- Budgets
- Month End
- Year End / Auditors
