Role Purpose
The Microsoft Security Administrator will be responsible for implementing, administering, monitoring and maintaining Microsoft security technologies across the organisation. The role will protect enterprise systems, identities, applications, data and endpoints against security threats while ensuring compliance with organisational security policies and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft security solutions across enterprise environments.
- Configure and manage Microsoft security and compliance capabilities.
- Monitor security events, alerts, incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate appropriate remediation activities.
- Implement identity and access management controls.
- Manage authentication, authorisation and privileged access.
- Configure and administer Microsoft security policies and controls.
- Support endpoint security and device protection.
- Implement security monitoring and threat detection capabilities.
- Assist with vulnerability management and security assessments.
- Support Microsoft cloud security and security posture management.
- Investigate suspicious activities and security alerts.
- Maintain security documentation, procedures and operational runbooks.
- Participate in security incident response and recovery activities.
- Ensure security configurations comply with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with infrastructure, Active Directory, networking and application teams to address security risks.
- Provide security reporting and support audit requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT security administration or a related technical security environment.
- Strong Microsoft security administration experience.
- Experience with identity and access management.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud security technologies.
- Knowledge of endpoint, network, identity and application security.
- Experience with security monitoring, incident management and vulnerability remediation.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, policies and controls.
- Experience working within enterprise environments.
Required Certification
Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate
Certification evidence: Certifications, ID and copy of certificate required.
