- You will act as the central coordination point between wine producers, customers, event organisers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure events are professionally delivered, commercially successful and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- National events are professionally planned, coordinated and executed on time and within budget.
- Meridian's premium wine portfolio is showcased effectively across targeted events and customer experiences.
- Wine producers, customers, suppliers and event partners experience exceptional service and collaboration.
- Events achieve agreed commercial objectives and deliver measurable return on investment.
- Event logistics, stock, staffing, POSM and administration are delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Event budgets are effectively managed, monitored and controlled.
- Event reporting and post-event analysis drive improvements in future event planning and execution.
- Internal and external stakeholders work together effectively to deliver exceptional event experience.
HOW OUTCOMES ARE DELIVERED
- Develop, manage and monitor event budgets, expenditure and ROI while ensuring cost-effective event delivery.
- Evaluate event opportunities, manage event sales mechanisms and maximise commercial outcomes from marketing investments.
- Coordinate Meridian's national events calendar including trade shows, wine festivals, exhibitions, tastings and customer experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, event organisers, suppliers, customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate event logistics, stock, POSM, promotional staff, transport, accommodation and venue requirements.
- Oversee event setup, execution, breakdown and operational problem-solving while ensuring premium brand standards.
- Prepare event proposals, feasibility studies, post-event reports, stock reconciliations, supplier payments and ROI analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve event planning, supplier performance, customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across Marketing, Sales, Operations and external stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Business Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience coordinating events, activations or marketing projects within FMCG, hospitality, wine, retail or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and project coordination tools.

- Own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel nationally
- Availability to work evenings and weekends when required
