Introduction
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established GP practice in Rietfontein, Pretoria for an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist & Enrolled Nursing Assistant (ENA) .
This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified ENA who is strongly administratively driven and would like to work in a medical practice environment where the primary focus is reception and administration, while still providing clinical assistance when required.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Reception & Administration
Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Managing incoming calls, messages and patient enquiries.
Scheduling, confirming and coordinating patient appointments.
Opening and maintaining patient files.
Capturing and updating patient information.
Confirming medical aid membership, benefits and available funds.
Obtaining medical aid authorisations where required.
Assisting with patient billing and account queries.
Managing referrals, laboratory results and medical correspondence.
Liaising with medical schemes, laboratories, pharmacies, specialists and other healthcare providers.
Filing, scanning, document management and general practice administration.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with POPIA requirements.
Clinical / ENA Support
Assisting the doctor with appropriate clinical procedures.
Preparing patients and treatment areas.
Assisting with wound care and dressings within the applicable ENA scope of practice.
Recording basic observations where permitted.
Supporting infection prevention and control measures.
Assisting with stock and clinical consumable management.
Providing other clinical support within the candidate's SANC scope of practice .
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Enrolled Nursing Assistant (ENA) .
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) .
Previous experience in a GP practice, medical practice, clinic or similar healthcare environment will be advantageous.
Medical reception or medical administration experience is highly desirable.
