Our client is looking for a motivated Medical Practice Administrator to join their practice and ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive thinker who is comfortable working independently, has a strong liaison attitude, and enjoys interacting with patients. Previous medical administration experience is not essential , but the successful candidate must be highly organised, computer literate, empathetic, and confident in managing a busy practice environment.

Minimum Requirements

Matric

Previous administration or office experience

Strong computer literacy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and diary management skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Proactive and solution-oriented approach

Patient, empathetic, and service-driven personality

Professional and well-presented

Excellent liaison and people skills

Previous medical administration experience will be advantageous, but is not essential

Fluent in Afrikaans and English will be advantageous

Must be willing to work a Saturday when a patient is booked (approximately 2–3 hours)

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the practice diary and appointments

Act as the host of the practice and ensure patients receive a warm and professional welcome

Liaise with patients, healthcare professionals, and relevant stakeholders

Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries

Ensure the smooth day-to-day administration of the practice

Assist with maintaining an organised and professional practice environment

Provide exceptional patient service

Work proactively and independently to resolve day-to-day administrative matters

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

Saturday: Rotational

Remuneration

Salary will be discussed during the interview.
