- Grade 12 Certificate. Appropriate qualification Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner.
- Basic Surgical Skills course BSS. Advanced Trauma Life Support ATLS. FC Primaries in Neurosurgery would be an advantage. Preference will be given to the candidates who would like to specialize in Neurosurgery.
Duties
- Assessment and management of Neurosurgery patients including and not restricted to accident and emergency A&E, outpatients NSOPD department, and inpatients. Patients' data collection skill I.e. for morbidity and mortality meetings and clinical presentation.
- Basic Neurosurgery procedures understanding. Participation in local multi-disciplinary clinical patient care teams. Academic and other presentations morbidity and mortality at local Neurosurgical circuit meetings. Medico legal documentation completion I.e. D28, death certificates medical reports etc.
