Mechatronics Engineer – Pretoria East Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys automation, innovation, and the opportunity to travel internationally? Our client is seeking a motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Pretoria East.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects while gaining valuable international exposure.

Minimum Requirements

• BTech degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field

• Valid driver's licence

• One to two years of experience within an automation environment

• Exposure to PLCs, control systems, robotics, industrial networks, or machine integration will be advantageous

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• An EU passport will be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and implementation of automated systems.

• Participate in the installation, testing, commissioning, and optimisation of equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects successfully.

• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates.

• Provide support to clients during commissioning and project implementation.

Travel Requirements

This role requires extensive international travel. Successful candidates should be prepared to spend up to three months away from home at a time while working on international projects.
