MECHANICAL PLANT SHUTDOWN - DURBAN

Introduction

A company in a Petrolium and Mechanical industry has a shutdown starting soon. We urgently seek qualified artisans with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

2.1. Mechanical Fitter Assistant (Standard 8/Grade 10 qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience in the industry). A valid forklift driving license will be an added advantage for prospective applicants.

2.2. Mechanical Fitter (Qualified artisan with recognized trade papers, preferable Olifantsfontein test, minimum N3 certificate in mechanical engineering and 5 years’ experience in petrochemical/chemical industries). Must be equipped with basic tools when arriving on site.

2.3. Senior Mechanical Fitter (Qualified artisan with recognized trade papers, preferable Olifantsfontein test, minimum N3 certificate in mechanical engineering and 10 years’ experience in petrochemical/chemical industries) The Fitter must have proven experience of leading task teams.

2.4. Instrument Assistant (Matric / Grade 12 with apprenticeship or learnership experience).

2.5. Instrument Technician (Qualified artisan with recognized trade papers, preferable Olifantsfontein test, minimum N4 certificate in instrumentation and 10 years experience in petrochemical/chemical industries) Must be equipped with basic tools when arriving on site .

2.6. Senior Instrument Technician (Qualified artisan with recognized trade papers, preferable Olifantsfontein test, minimum N6/S4 certificate in instrumentation and 10 years’ experience in petrochemical/chemical industries)

2.7. Safety Officer – (NOSA trained with 5 years experience in petrochemical/chemical industries)

2.8. Confined Space / Vessel Entry monitor , must have certificate of confined space training and at least 2 years’ experience in the industry, must be able to communicate (read and write) effectively in English.

2.9. General Worker.
