- A well-established manufacturing organization seeking to strengthen its maintenance team is looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Supervisor. It is a fast-paced manufacturing environment comprising mechanical, CNC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment, with associated electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime
- Responsible for the whole factory; maintenance, breakdowns, fabrication and general site facilities
- Maintenance planning and documentation in accordance with ISO9001 & IATF16949.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical faults efficiently
- Manage maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Appointed as GMR 2.1, with the associated legal responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the relevant machinery and equipment.
Requirements
- Qualified Fitter & Turner or Millwright with a completed trade test
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical system
- Strong practical electrical experience required, even if not formally electrically qualified
- Experience of CNC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment, with associated electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- PLCs and automation systems
- Preventive and predictive maintenance practices
