Mechanical Engineering Graduate - West Rand

Introduction

A leading manufacturing company based in the West Rand is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join its engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their engineering career in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced engineers, and be exposed to a wide range of engineering and maintenance projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support the maintenance and production teams with technical problem-solving.

• Participate in equipment inspections, fault-finding, and root cause analysis.

• Assist with preventative maintenance planning and implementation.

• Support the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.

• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering drawings.

• Monitor plant performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve production and engineering objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering .

• Recent graduate or 0–2 years' relevant engineering experience.

• Strong technical aptitude and a passion for engineering.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance principles will be beneficial.

• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
