Detail: JOB DESCRIPTION Stages 1-6 of a project from inception to concept design, detail design, tender and project management to close out. Type of projects: offices, retail, hospitals, hotels, multi-storey residential, data centers, and warehouses Fire risk analysis Detail design of fire systems and to ensure that the design complies with Regulations, Codes of Practice, statutory requirements, including NFPA, BS, SANS and ASIB. Active and passive fire protection systems. Apply engineering calculations for automatic sprinklers, smoke detection, evacuation systems, smoke ventilation, hydraulic design, gas suppression and other engineering tasks that may be required. Plan, design, organize and control complete projects. Rational fire designs. Prepare and present technical reports, financial reports, tender documentation, etc. Note: Duties and responsibilities are not limited to this job profile summary. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE BSc, BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering Registered as Professional Engineer/Technologist (preferred) or Candidate near to registration as Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA (within the next 3 months) 3+ years consulting engineering experience in building services Knowledge of Rational Fire Design Remuneration: Market related package with benefits offered - negotiable depending on qualifications and experience Interested: Please submit detailed an updated CV in MS Word format ASAP!
