Detail: JOB PURPOSE: To support the Design Office and engineering operations through mechanical design, product development, technical problem solving, and research and development activities related to water and wastewater treatment equipment and systems. DUTIES: Design and develop mechanical equipment, components, and systems in line with project and operational requirements. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Support product development, research, and innovation initiatives within the company. Assist with prototype development, testing, and implementation of design improvements. Work closely with the Design Office, production, procurement, and project teams to support project execution. Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning processes. Investigate and resolve engineering and design-related problems. Ensure engineering designs comply with company standards, ISO requirements, and applicable engineering principles. Assist with evaluating materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and performance. Participate in design reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical meetings. Maintain accurate engineering documentation, calculations, and project records. Support the Engineering Manager with technical reporting, project planning, and development initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment. Experience in water treatment, process equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments will be advantageous. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Good understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and materials. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Strong technical and analytical skills.
