This person will be an enthusiastic, efficient, committed individual with a strong background in engineering theory, design, project management, manufacturing and practical work experience. The employee will interact with Customers, Suppliers, Field Service Engineers, Technicians, Management and Consultants. The employee will give gidance and expert advice to others in the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple projects, including your own and provide guidance
- Mentor junior mechanical engineers and technicians
- Gain a fundamental understanding of design, operation, inspection and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment as well as all the processes, procedures etc.
- Conduct in-house design and develoopment
- Manage design and development Projects, which will be the secondary function within the role from inception through to delivery, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Giving expert technical advise to Technicians and coaching new Technicians
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QC policies, procedures and specifications
- Detailed reporting and inspection report reviews; regular report and feedback to Management and the Customer on the progress of project
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor of Science (BSc Eng) or BEng in Mechanical engineering
3 - 6 years experiece in Heavy Engineering / Offshore, Oil & Gas and Subsea sector
