Detail: Our client, an established engineering organisation specialising in technically complex equipment and engineered solutions, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level engineer to work on multiple projects, contribute to mechanical design and development, and collaborate with customers, suppliers, technicians and other engineering professionals. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support multiple mechanical engineering projects, providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians from design through delivery. - Perform mechanical design and development activities, including first-principles calculations, FEA/simulation, 3D CAD modelling, drawings and manufacturing documentation. - Review engineering deliverables, monitor technical and quality compliance, support project reporting and ensure safe engineering practices are maintained. Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile: Education - BSc Engineering or BEng in Mechanical Engineering. Experience - 3&ndash;6 years' experience in a relevant mechanical engineering environment. - Experience in mechanical design and engineering development. - Exposure to project management and manufacturing environments. - Practical engineering experience will be advantageous. Skills - Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, particularly SolidWorks. - Exposure to FEA software such as SolidWorks Simulation or Abaqus. - Exposure to Mathcad, MATLAB or similar engineering calculation software. - Knowledge of fabrication, welding, boiler-making and precision machining. - Exposure to ASME VIII, API and international classification rules will be advantageous. - Excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills.
