Job Description

• Provide technical engineering support across mining and mineral processing operations

• Analyse equipment performance and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency

• Participate in plant improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and optimisation initiatives

• Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, and project documentation

• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve technical issues

• Conduct failure investigations and implement preventative measures

• Ensure equipment and systems comply with relevant engineering and safety standards

• Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and plant availability

• Provide technical input into maintenance strategies and asset management activities

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer

• Experience within mining, mineral processing, heavy engineering, or industrial environments

• Strong understanding of rotating equipment, materials handling equipment, and mechanical systems

• Knowledge of pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, and associated plant equipment

• Experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, and performance improvement

• Strong root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting capabilities

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and equipment specifications

• Strong analytical thinking and practical problem-solving abilities

• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering and project teams

Qualification

• BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
