Job Title: Job title Senior Architect: Wallet & Core Banking Architecture and Strategy Start Date: 2026-06-29 - 2026-07-29 Vacancy Type: Contractor JHB000980 Sectors: Information Technology Telco Location: Gauteng , Johannesburg - Southern Suburbs Salary: Brief: Our client in the Network Communications is looking for a Senior Architect: Wallet & Core Banking Architecture and Strategy on a contract duration of 6 months. The key objective of this role is to drive architecture for enterprise applications. This will include core business platforms such as ERP, CRM, finance systems, and other mission-critical enterprise systems. The role requires the assessment of the current and new enterprise application architecture eco-system and propose technical solutions to align with required changes and business Strategy. The role is responsible for ownership of Enterprise Architecture solutions and functionalities deployed across all Fintech Markets. This role leads the design and standardisation of the Enterprise architectural and integration methodologies for Fintech solutions group wide. Detail: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required Certifications (preferred): SAP/Oracle/Salesforce architecture certifications TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification, SAFe Architect, Azure /AWS/GCP Architect, or Mobile App Architect certifications. Vendor certifications (e.g., Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway). Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in software and enterprise architecture roles. At least 5 years focused on enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, Finance, HR systems, etc. Experience with TOGAF or similar EA frameworks Architecture governance, capability maturity assessments, and standardization efforts Proficient in Software Engineering. Designing secure data pipelines: encryption at rest and in transit, tokenization, data masking Experience with enterprise integration patterns (ESB, API gateways, event streaming, iPaaS). Integrating external/internal systems using RESTful APIs, Webhooks; Designing and operating real-time data platforms using Kafka, Event Hubs, or Pub/Sub Competencies: Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture (ERP, CRM, Finance, HR systems). Strong knowledge of integration architectures (API-first, event-driven, middleware). Understanding microservices and modular monolith patterns in enterprise contexts.
