- Produce detailed mechanical, fabrication, assembly and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models.
- Create General Arrangement drawings, installation drawings and BOMs.
- Revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineers to develop practical, cost-effective designs.
- Provide technical drawing packages to project teams within deadlines.
- Liaise with production, procurement and site teams on drawing-related queries.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and client requirements.
Requirements
- National Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Draughting or a related field.
- 35 years experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman in engineering, manufacturing, mining, industrial or construction environments.
- Strong experience producing fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T and drafting standards.
- Familiarity with welding, machining, fabrication and assembly processes.
