- Produce detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for conveyor systems and mechanical equipment.
- Develop drawings for belt conveyors, conveyor structures, chutes, transfer points and related components .
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications and client requirements.
- Assist Engineers with mechanical and structural design activities.
- Prepare manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Make design modifications and revisions based on engineering requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and specifications.
- Assist with BOMs, drawing registers and technical documentation .
- Liaise with Engineers, project teams, fabricators and suppliers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Conduct drawing checks and ensure accuracy and quality of technical deliverables.
- Support projects from concept and design through to manufacturing and installation .
ð??? Requirements
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering Draughting qualification or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience as a Draughtsman in a mechanical engineering environment.
- Proven experience with conveyor systems/materials handling is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fabrication.
- Experience producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks .
- Experience with 3D modelling will be advantageous.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
â Advantageous Experience
• Mining or mineral processing industry experience. • Belt conveyor design. • Materials handling equipment. • Structural steelwork. • Chutes and transfer stations. • Conveyor components and layouts. • Exposure to FEA/ANSYS or engineering calculations. • Experience working on projects from design through to fabrication and commissioning.
