Join an engineering team developing heavy-duty drilling and raise boring equipment for demanding mining environments. This is hands-on engineering where your designs go from screen to workshop to the real world. Duties & Responsibilities
The Role
- Design mechanical and hydraulic systems for heavy mining equipment.
- Produce 3D CAD models, calculations and manufacturing drawings.
- Get involved in prototypes, testing and commissioning.
- Make equipment tougher, smarter and more reliable.
Requirements
- BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering and ECSA registration (Candidate Engineer or Pr.Eng).
- 5–8 years' mechanical design experience in mining, drilling or heavy equipment.
- Strong CAD, hydraulics and engineering analysis skills.
- Valid driver's licence and fitness for underground site visits.
- Bonus points for Inventor, SolidWorks and FEA experience.
