The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the engineering team and contribute to the delivery of technically complex projects across a range of industrial and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and reviewing mechanical engineering designs and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, clients, suppliers and contractors. This role is ideally suited to a mechanically strong engineer who enjoys design, problem-solving and multidisciplinary project work and who is comfortable operating within a consulting, EPC and EPCM environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical engineering and design activities across various projects.
• Develop mechanical designs from conceptual and basic engineering through to detailed design .
• Prepare and review mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, datasheets and technical reports.
• Develop and review mechanical layouts, equipment arrangements and general arrangement drawings.
• Prepare and review mechanical equipment specifications and procurement documentation.
• Assist with equipment selection and technical evaluations.
• Review supplier and vendor drawings, data sheets and technical documentation.
• Develop mechanical design solutions in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with process, piping, electrical, control & instrumentation and civil/structural engineering disciplines .
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and multidisciplinary coordination sessions.
• Identify design risks, technical constraints and opportunities for optimisation.
• Provide technical input during procurement and vendor selection processes.
