Start free — we apply for you →- A global company based in Markman, Gqeberha, is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service, maintain, inspect and repair vehicles, trucks and trailers, ensuring all work meets safety, legal and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trucks and trailers for safety, wear and compliance
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Repair and replace brakes, axles, bearings suspension systems and couplings
- Diagnose and repair faults i.e. Trailer lights, wiring and brake system.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and legal requirements.
- Attending of breakdowns on the road and follow up on repairs.
Requirements
- Experience in Trucks / trailers in the fuel industry, Semi / Drawbar trailers.
- Proven experience as a Mechanic Red Seal.
- Valid code 8 license Code 14 Advantageous.
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills.
- Awareness of minimizing downtime and cost effective repairs.
