Mascor is a Company consisting of franchised Fuel divisions throughout KZN and in Mpumalanga. In some areas, the fuel station also has a convenience store, take-away or mini market store offering customers a one-stop solution. We offer professional and high-quality service and customer service standards. The following position has become available at the Mascor Malelane OK Mini Market: Stock Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain accurate stock records within the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory management systems. Ensure all stock movements are correctly captured and reconciled. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts according to company procedures. Investigate and resolve stock variances promptly. Maintain inventory accuracy levels of at least 98%. Receive stock deliveries from suppliers. Verify quantities, product descriptions, expiry dates, and quality against delivery documentation. Ensure all received stock is correctly captured on the system. Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies immediately. Maintain proper receiving documentation and audit trails. Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment requirements. Assist management with ordering based on sales trends, minimum stock levels, seasonality, and promotional activities. Ensure fast-moving lines remain available to customers. Prevent overstocking that may lead to wastage, expiry, or excessive working capital investment. Monitor product expiry dates and implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles. Identify slow-moving and ageing stock. Coordinate markdowns or promotions to reduce potential losses. Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Monitor and investigate stock losses, theft, damages, and wastage. Participate in security and loss prevention initiatives. Implement controls to reduce shrinkage. Report suspicious stock movements or irregularities to management. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. Analyse stock variances and provide recommendations for corrective action. Assist with month-end stock valuations and audits. Maintain accurate filing and recordkeeping systems. Work closely with store management to ensure optimal stock availability. Assist with merchandising initiatives and promotional stock planning. Support operational activities during peak trading periods. Ensure storerooms and stock holding areas remain organised and compliant with safety standards.
