More about this Ozow fantastic position
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to act as the strategic counterpart to our Head of Marketing, owning the content strategy, running the operational engine of the marketing department, and managing a direct report/s. This is a genuine dual role, combining real strategic input with hands-on operational ownership, and it comes with a clear path toward a senior, department-leading position as the team and its remit continue to grow.
Your role and responsibilities
People Management & Development
- Manage, coach, and develop any reports
- Set clear expectations and provide the mentorship needed for your direct report to grow
Marketing Strategy Contribution & Content Ownership
- Interpret and contribute materially to the broader marketing strategy, acting as a genuine strategic counterpart to the Head of Marketing
- Own the content strategy end to end, with your direct report as a key contributor
- Act as the second layer of interrogation on all content before it reaches the Head of Marketing, adding research depth, technical comprehension, and insight
Departmental Operations & Workflow
- Operationalise the marketing function, managing brief intake, studio and team workflow, and the balance between brief volume and production capacity
- Run stand-ups and set the standard of accountability within the team
- Act as the escalation point when delivery is at risk, and resolve competing stakeholder priorities before they reach the Head of Marketing
Agency & Partner Management
- Serve as the first point of contact for external partners across the line, including the PR agency, performance agency production agency, and out-of-home
- This can also extend to merchants and partners, where you will be identifying co-marketing opportunities
- Translate strategy into strategic briefs, and brief these into the Content Strategist for detailed production briefs
- Support the Head of Marketing and the Product Marketing Manager in developing go-to-market strategies for products
- Support the Commercial team in client pitch scenarios
- Manage external agencies across more than one discipline to ensure delivery on brief, on time, and on budget
- Assess Ozow's participation in events and activations, determining the strategic rationale, the role the event plays, and the appropriate level of investment - importantly take full ownership of the marketing programme around these events
Campaign Leadership & Performance
- Lead large-scale out-of-home and digital campaigns end to end
- Use funnel and campaign performance data, including lead volume, conversion, transaction rates, and revenue, to assess and improve campaign impact
- Report on performance monthly, including cost per acquisition and conversion quality
Tool Utilization + Change Management
- Ensure proper utilization, or introduce and embed new work management tools to support brief intake and delivery tracking
- Contribute to policy, process, and documentation to support a consistent, department-wide workflow
Automation and AI
- Explore and apply AI tools to support content review, briefing, and workflow efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline agency and production workflows through automation where relevant
You are an ideal candidate if
- You have a relevant marketing qualification (degree or equivalent)
- You have proven experience owning a content strategy end to end, not just executing content calendars
- You have experience contributing to, interpreting, and executing against a broader marketing strategy
- You have experience in fintech or fintech adjacent sectors
- You have a B2B marketing background
- You have experience managing marketing operations or departmental workflow, including brief intake and delivery management
- You have experience managing external agencies across more than one discipline, such as PR, performance, media, or production
- You have strong writing and editorial judgement, sufficient to interrogate and materially improve another person's content
- You have prior line management experience
- You have experience in a scale up or smaller, fast moving marketing team where the role is broad
- You have familiarity with work management tools for brief intake and delivery tracking
- You have prior experience leading out of home or large scale integrated campaigns
- You have experience running team rituals such as stand ups or sprint planning
Your skills and competencies
- You eagerly embrace change, absorb cross-functional skills, and connect ideas across disciplines to drive fresh thinking and innovation.
- Ability to initiate, develop, maintain and leverage outstanding relationships to influence a wide network, both inside and outside the company.
- A trailblazer who steps up, takes charge, and creates meaningful impact: driven by performance and purpose to lead from the front and make a real difference every day.
- You thrive in collaboration, embrace inclusion, and bring a genuine curiosity for global cultures, valuing collective success over individual credit.
- Demonstrate strategic foresight, sound judgement, and the ability to make confident decisions under uncertainty, always working toward the best possible outcomes.
- You challenge norms, champion innovation, and constantly seek growth, for yourself, your team, and the solutions you build.
- You are a decisive doer who takes initiative, follows through with confidence, and ensures results through courageous, hands-on leadership.
- We value optimism, agility, and the strength to persevere under pressure, balancing performance with positivity, even in challenging environments.
- You are driven and proactive, taking ownership, facing challenges with grit, and consistently pushing for excellence, not just as a participant, but as a catalyst for success.
