Position: Marketing & Brand Intern (Graduate Workplace Learning programme) Duration: 24 Months Stipend: R6000 per month Location: Johannesburg (Randburg) Detail: About the Role: The Marketing & Brand Intern will support Signa Opportunity's marketing, communications, and brand initiatives by assisting with campaign coordination, digital marketing, content development, market research, stakeholder engagement, and business development support. The role contributes to strengthening the organisation's market presence, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and promoting workforce sustainability solutions through effective marketing and communication activities. The internship offers practical exposure to brand management, digital marketing, campaign coordination, market research, proposal development, content creation, and commercial support while working closely with cross-functional teams across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation of digital and traditional marketing campaigns that strengthen Signa Opportunity's brand presence. Assist with brand awareness initiatives across existing and emerging workforce sustainability solutions. Ensure consistent application of the Signa Opportunity brand across communication platforms. Prepare promotional material and stakeholder engagement collateral. Support employer branding and youth employability communication initiatives. Prepare and schedule content across digital and social media platforms. Support website updates and digital communication initiatives. Assist with campaign monitoring, content planning, and performance tracking. Develop visual and written content for internal and external audiences. Support internal communication initiatives where required. Assist with the development of brochures, presentations, and client-facing marketing material. Support proposal development for grant funding and commercial opportunities. Contribute to Graduate Programme marketing collateral and go-to-market material. Document programme impact through success stories, case studies, and testimonials. Maintain proposal and marketing resource libraries. Conduct desktop research on graduate employability trends, workforce sustainability, and talent pipeline practices. Monitor competitor activity, emerging market opportunities, and customer insights. Support market research that contributes to the development of new workforce solutions. Assist with campaign planning, lead generation initiatives, marketing events, and stakeholder engagements. Maintain campaign schedules, marketing databases, and campaign trackers. Prepare marketing performance reports and ensure effective document control and version management. Explore innovative marketing approaches, digital tools, and AI-enabled productivity solutions. Participate in mentoring, coaching, workplace learning initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. Minimum Requirements: South African citizen. Unemployed graduate aged 18–34 years. Available to participate in the full 24-month internship programme. In possession of a completed relevant qualification. Strong communication, creativity, and organisational skills. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Google Workspace will be advantageous). Willing to participate fully in onboarding, mentoring, workplace learning, and performance reviews. Demonstrates a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to organisational success. Qualifications: A National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) in one of the following fields: Marketing Brand Management Communications Digital Marketing Public Relations Business Management (Marketing stream) Or a related qualification. Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Google Workspace will be advantageous). Digital communication platforms. Social media management. Content development and copywriting. Presentation design. Basic data analysis and report preparation. Marketing administration. Research methodologies. Campaign coordination and stakeholder engagement. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with, or willing to adopt, the responsible and compliant use of AI-enabled productivity tools. Previous internship, volunteer work, student leadership, campus marketing, or project participation will be advantageous. Experience creating digital content, managing social media platforms, or supporting marketing campaigns will be beneficial but is not essential.
