Kimmo (Pty) Ltd is the leader in Eco-friendly heavy-duty Industrial packaging.
We are currently a small/medium sized team of 50+ employees and create innovative multi-material solutions that can easily replace any wooden crate. We are growing quickly and now have two factories, one in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town. There is currently an exciting opportunity available for a new Manufacturing Plant Manager based in Johannesburg, City Deep.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for all aspects of the Gauteng factory in City Deep, which will include:
- Managing Operational KPI’s for the Gauteng factory
- Product development of all products produced in Gauteng
- Technical maintenance and improvement projects in the Gauteng factory
- Co-ordinating all Sales and marketing activities in Gauteng
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A relevant degree in Engineering or similar technical education
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- At least 4 years in a General Management role in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced skills in Excel, which will be tested
- Exposure and experience with both Production Technology as well as Sales & Marketing will be an advantage
- Good people-, communication-, and presentation-skills at all levels of the organization
- Must have a high degree of flexibility and versatility to cope with a dynamic environment
- Ability to create and inspire a diverse team of employees
- Self-starter with good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Must have the proven ability to drive things to conclusion with attention to detail
- Multiple references will be required
- Experience in the industrial packaging industry would be advantageous
Package & Remuneration
Market related salary (cost to company) depending on experience and calibre of the candidate. Performance based December bonus
