Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Strategy/Policy/Planning or relevant equivalent qualification
- 3 years' experience in a similar environment
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, manage, monitor and review overall strategy and policy alignment activities ensuring alignment with national, provincial and the City's strategies
- Develop, implement and support a strategic operational context to drive the Strategy and Policy branch in the Department
- Develop the Human Settlement long term strategy aligned to National, Provincial and Municipal Prescripts
- Develop the Human Settlement IDP Charter, Divisional Business Plan and SDBIP targets
- Contribute to the management and ensure accountability for delivery of contracted work output within parameters
- Establish and manage strategic internal and external relationships
- Manage the development and implementation of operational plans to meet established annual objectives
- Assist in developing and managing a high performance culture within area of accountability.
