About Us
We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of earthmoving, mining and construction equipment, committed to operational excellence, innovation and developing our people. As part of our ongoing Human Resources transformation journey, we are seeking a Manager: Remuneration & Benefits.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced reward professional to play an integral role in the optimisation of SAP SuccessFactors, whilst driving remuneration, benefits, job evaluation and HR services excellence across the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1.Remuneration and Reward
- Develop, implement and maintain remuneration and reward policies, frameworks and procedures.
- Conduct remuneration benchmarking and market competitiveness analyses.
- Analyse salary structures, pay scales and reward trends.
- Prepare remuneration recommendations for appointments, promotions, transfers and retention interventions.
2. Employee Benefits: Manage the administration and governance of employee benefits programmes.
3. Job Profiling and Evaluation: Develop, maintain and review job profiles across the organisation and coordinate / facilitate the job evaluation processes.
4. SAP SuccessFactors and HR Systems: Support the implementation, administration and optimisation of SAP SuccessFactors modules, particularly Compensation and Benefits.
5. Leadership: Drive operational excellence within the HR Services function and Lead, coach and develop two direct reports
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field (NQF 7)
- Postgraduate qualification in Remuneration Management, Reward, Human Resources or Organisational Development will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in remuneration, rewards, benefits administration and job evaluation.
- Proven experience in salary benchmarking and remuneration analysis.
- Experience facilitating job evaluation processes.
- Experience working with HR information systems and remuneration data.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a small team.
- Experience within a manufacturing, mining, engineering, industrial environment will be advantageous.
Knowledge
- South African labour legislation, including:
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Labour Relations Act (LRA)
- Employment Equity Act (EEA)
- Income Tax Act and relevant SARS requirements
- Remuneration and reward principles and leading practices.
- Job evaluation methodologies.
- Employee benefits administration.
- HR governance and reporting.
Systems
- SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred.
- SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) experience advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential.
