- To ensure that projects are prioritised in alignment with business strategy, and delivered in accordance with project framework and business requirements.
Main Responsibilities not limited to
- To prioritise projects and new requests in collaboration with the relevant business stakeholders to enable strategic alignment and optimal resource allocation.
- To facilitate the development of business cases and project initiation documents in accordance with Project Management methodology.
- To oversee the delivery of projects according to budgets, specifications, set targets, and quality standards.
- To coach and mentor project managers and administrators within the team to optimise capabilities and performance.
- To ensure an effective portfolio management process to facilitate optimal project prioritisation, resource allocation, and project execution.
- To facilitate effective project and portfolio reporting in order to provide assurance to stakeholders and enable risk management.
- To engage and build conducive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including the SARB group, to promote synergy and alignment.
- To oversee the delivery of project benefits and monitor post-implementation performance to ensure sustainability of project solutions.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both SABN employees and contractors.
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have
- BSc or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, supplemented by a Project Management qualification Essential
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years' experience in multi-disciplinary project management, of which at least 3 years in a senior leadership role Essential
- Specific exposure in a manufacturing environment Desirable
Knowledge and Skills
- Project and Programme management;
- Financial analysis;
- Working knowledge of Information Technology and systems;
- Contract management;
- Principles of general management;
- MS Project and scheduling tools
