Are you an experienced Credit Manager with a passion for commercial lending, people leadership, and operational excellence?
Our client, a well-established financial services company in Cape Town, is looking for a Manager: Credit Origination to lead a high-performing operations team responsible for the end-to-end credit origination process.
Duties & Responsibilities
✔ Lead and develop a team of Business Funding Analysts, Administrators, and Graduates
✔ Drive operational efficiency, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement
✔ Oversee commercial credit application workflows and ensure SLA delivery
✔ Coach and mentor staff while fostering a high-performance culture
✔ Review complex credit applications and support sound lending decisions
✔ Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Business Development teams
Desired Experience & Qualification
✅ BCom Degree
✅ 5+ years' people management experience leading teams of 8+ employees
✅ 5–7 years' experience in commercial lending, banking, or financial services
✅ Strong understanding of commercial credit, financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, and loan administration
✅ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
✅ Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities
