Key responsibilities
• Standard costing and cost roll • New and non-standard product costing • BOM and routing validation • Overhead recovery rates • Inventory, WIP and GIT reconciliations • Stock counts and variance investigation • Slow-moving and obsolete stock provisions • Landed and import costing • Production cost variance analysis • Make-vs-buy and local-vs-offshore analysis • Product and customer margin analysis • Cost-reduction initiatives • ERP super-user (inventory and costing) • Process automation Minimum requirements
• CIMA (CGMA) qualified • BCom Accounting, BCom Cost & Management Accounting or an equivalent degree • 5–8 years' costing experience in a manufacturing environment, including standard costing and inventory valuation • Strong knowledge of standard and actual costing, overhead absorption, variance analysis and inventory valuation • Hands-on ERP experience (SYSPRO an advantage) and advanced Excel Advantageous
- Experience in a mining or mining-supply environment
- SQL or Power BI
- Experience with multi-entity, imported or international cost bases
- A track record of improving processes, and practical use of AI-enabled tools
