We are looking for a reliable, responsible and hardworking Night Shift Attendant to join our hotel team.
This position requires someone who is confident working independently at night, attentive to security, professional with guests and willing to assist wherever needed.
Shift: Overnight / Night Shift
Key Responsibilities
Managing the hotel reception during the night
Welcoming and checking in late-arriving guests
Assisting guests with enquiries and requests
Answering calls, WhatsApps and booking enquiries
Monitoring the property throughout the night
Conducting regular security and property checks
Ensuring entrances, gates and common areas are secure
Assisting with guest luggage when required
Handling basic booking and reception administration
Preparing reception for the morning shift
Reporting maintenance, security or guest-related incidents
Keeping reception and communal areas clean and presentable
Assisting with general hotel duties when necessary
We are looking for someone who is

Alert and security-conscious
Comfortable working alone at night
Professional and respectful with guests
Honest and trustworthy
Calm under pressure
Physically capable of assisting with luggage and property checks
Able to communicate clearly in English
Computer literate
Experienced in hospitality, reception, security or night-shift work
Requirements
Relevant hospitality/reception qualification or certificate preferred
Previous hotel, guesthouse or hospitality experience preferred
Valid South African work eligibility
Contactable references
Clear disciplinary and employment record
Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays
We need someone who takes ownership of the hotel during their shift — someone observant, proactive and responsible who does not need to be constantly supervised.
