Start free — we apply for you →- Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for Maintenance Supervisor to lead, coordinate, and manage the delivery of facilities management services, ensuring that site operations are efficient, safe, compliant, and delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and Service Level Agreements SLAs. The role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities, managing contractors and resources, supporting customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environment and Quality SHEQ standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Contractor and Service Provider Management
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed SLAs
- Maintain accurate contractor documentation and compliance records
- Build and maintain effective service provider relationships
- Address contractor performance issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure all contractors comply with site safety requirements
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Assist in maintenance planning and scheduling activities
- Ensure adequate resources are available to meet operational demands
- Monitor maintenance completion against agreed targets
- Approve overtime where operationally justified
- Ensure productivity standards align with SLA requirements
Project Management
- Assist with project planning and implementation
- Coordinate project resources and contractors
- Maintain communication with stakeholders and clients
- Track project progress and escalate risks where required
- Ensure projects are delivered to quality, cost, and timeline expectations
Commercial and Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets within approved limits
- Review and monitor invoices and pass-through costs
- Assist with cost control initiatives
- Prepare financial reports and expenditure summaries
- Support achievement of financial performance targets
Customer Satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Respond promptly to client concerns and service requests
- Monitor service delivery performance
- Ensure achievement of customer satisfaction targets
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery
Departmental Effectiveness
- Conduct operational inspections and audits
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures
- Ensure maintenance records are accurate and up to date
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Support business continuity and operational efficiency initiatives
Integrated Management Systems IMS and EHS Compliance
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements
- Participate in safety audits and inspections
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain required SHEQ documentation and records
Human Resources and Industrial Relations
- Supervise and develop team members
- Conduct performance management discussions
- Identify and address training and development needs
- Support disciplinary and grievance processes
- Promote employee engagement and teamwork
Reporting
- Prepare technical and management reports
- Maintain maintenance and compliance records
- Report on KPI and SLA performance
- Provide operational updates to management and clients
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met

Qualifications
- Grade 12 Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Engineering or a related field
Experience
- 2 to 5 years' experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Property Management, or Project Management
- Experience managing technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of facilities maintenance operations
- Strong understanding of SHEQ principles and compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of Service Level Agreements SLAs
- Understanding of Labour Relations Act LRA and Industrial Relations IR processes
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
