Detail: This is a practical, all-rounder role suited to someone who thrives in a remote bush environment and takes full ownership of the property's upkeep — from general repairs to preventative maintenance across guest and staff areas. Core Criteria: Previous experience in a maintenance role within a lodge or hospitality environment Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance Experience with generators, pumps, and borehole/water reticulation systems advantageous Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to upkeep Comfortable working independently in a remote setting Reliable, organised, and able to manage a small maintenance team Good communication skills for liaising with lodge management Candidate Responsibilities: Oversee and carry out day-to-day maintenance across the lodge and staff village Manage preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, vehicles, and equipment Attend to plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs Maintain generators, pumps, and water systems Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team Manage maintenance stock, tools, and spares Liaise with management on maintenance priorities and reporting Ensure guest and staff areas are kept to a high standard of repair On Offer: Salary: R16,000 – R20,000 per month, dependent on experience Live-in position, accommodation included show more...
