The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, leading maintenance teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards. Detail: Minimum Requirements Certificate in a Technical or Maintenance-related field (NQF 5). Trade Test qualification (NQF 5). First Line Management Programme (FLMP) Certificate (NQF 5). Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 1–2 years' supervisory experience. Experience working shifts. Advantageous Diploma in a Technical or Maintenance-related field (NQF 6). Key Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities. Ensure maximum plant and equipment availability while minimising downtime. Manage maintenance schedules, job cards, work permits, and shutdown activities. Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and company standards. Supervise and develop maintenance team members. Monitor maintenance costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key Competencies Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, processes, and systems. Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, ERP systems). Leadership and supervisory skills. Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Planning and organisational skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
