Maintenance Planner Assistant (Fixed Term)

Purpose of Role To enable and ensure optimal equipment reliability and performance by implementing the distribution of scheduled work, shut plans and maintaining the maintenance system to generate daily reports and manage scheduling in alignment with maintenance strategies in order to continuously track and improve maintenance process across the plant in alignment to regulatory requirements. Role Context Operational Delivery Distribute all job cards detailing scheduled work to Engineering and Production team and ensure accurate capturing on relevant system to maintain proactive maintenance scheduling and minimise downtime. Encourage and implement systems for feedback on job card quality by identifying returning job cards, applying root cause analysis and highlighting re-occurring defects and reporting on such to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce recurring issues. Evaluate and review scheduled work impacted by unforeseen events, report to key stakeholders on problem areas and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Review OEM equipment and draw up condition tracker to monitor equipment lifecycle in line with MHSA requirements for operations and put in place preventative measures to prevent equipment failure and prolong equipment life. Manage backlog of job cards and ensure accurate recording and reporting in the relevant maintenance management system to maintain an efficient backlog resolution and system optimisation. Create follow-on work related to deviation stemming from first work done by artisan and track all changes and requirements for record keeping and quality improvement. Generate and maintain accurate reporting data by ensuring the preparation of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) production and engineering reports to enable timely and insightful reporting for management decisions. Monitor the notification catalogue to keep track of work order completion and investigate any work order exceptions to maintain and improve accuracy and completion of work orders. Oversee the adherence to SOPs, task lists and drawings by ensuring that they are continuously updated and in compliance with the Maintenance & Condition Based Monitoring system. Resource Management Determine resource needs within own area of responsibility to achieve individual role outcomes. Request required assets and resources for the fulfilment of work duties to attain quality work outputs. Use assets and resources optimally within own area of responsibility Utilise and manage a maintenance management system to enable capacity planning and scheduling process to optimise resource utilisation and streamline the scheduling process. Keep abreast of maintenance trends and report on trend analysis for equipment availability, utilisation, reliability and provide recommendations for improvement in order to enable decision making for maintenance strategies. Participate in forecasting and record budget control initiatives to ensure integration to the finance system. Stakeholder Relations Engage with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of specialisation, as directed by the Manager. Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships. Participate in relevant forums and industry communications to keep abreast of QC trends and advancements related to mining technologies, maintenance techniques, equipment, OEMs and best practices to contribute to the improvement of mining and maintenance processes and efficiency. Continuously liaise with relevant stakeholders to track and monitor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance needs and provide recommendations to deal with problem areas.
