Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: MAINTENANCE MANAGER Start Date: 2026-08-24 - 2026-12-31 Vacancy Type: Permanent FM002642 Sectors: Agriculture & Agribusiness Location: Western Cape , Plettenberg Bay Salary: Brief: maintenance Plettenberg Bay area, Western Cape Province – South Africa: The Maintenance Manager will plan, coordinate and carry out preventative maintenance and routine repairs across the whole farm — dairy operations, all accommodation buildings, public amenities and shared facilities. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO, supervise a small maintenance team and manage contractors for specialist work. Detail: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS At least 5 years' experience managing maintenance across multiple facilities Previous experience supervising a maintenance team is essential A trade qualification or technical diploma is preferred — relevant experience will also be considered Working knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical fault-finding, welding, pumps and irrigation Experience in agriculture, dairy farming, hospitality, property or tourism facilities is an advantage Strong organisational skills, practical problem-solving and the ability to manage contractors and budgets RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Maintaining all farm infrastructure including farm roads, buildings, accommodation, fencing, water and drainage systems Coordinating maintenance of dairy buildings, milking parlour and yard infrastructure Keeping guest accommodation in excellent condition through inspections, minor repairs and general upkeep Maintaining bike trails, hiking routes, bridges, boardwalks and trail signage Looking after pumps, water storage, irrigation and reticulation systems Running a safe, organised workshop with tools, spare parts and stock control Coordinating servicing for farm vehicles, machinery and equipment Building and maintaining a preventative maintenance plan and accurate records Sourcing quotes and supervising contractors for specialist or licensed work Supervising and training maintenance staff Responding to guest requests and emergencies such as power outages, storm damage or flooding ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted show more...
