We are looking for a trustworthy, respectful and reliable female caregiver & domestic assistant to assist our mum in her flat.
Position: Full-time Location: North Beach, DURBAN
Salary & Benefits
* R3000 per month. * This is not a permanent live-in position. However, you may be required to stay overnight at the flat if mum is sick or requires overnight assistance, and you may need to remain overnight until she is well enough and no longer requires this assistance.
DUTIES INCLUDE
* Full-time care and companionship for mum. * Accompanying her everywhere and assisting with walking and transport. * Household cleaning, laundry, ironing and dishwashing. * Helping with cooking, shopping and collecting medication. * Gentle exercises and massages 2 x daily or as required. * Staying overnight when mum is sick or requires assistance, and remaining with her until she is better and no longer requires overnight care. * Working on selected weekends when mum needs to leave the flat for any reason or requires assistance. Weekend work will be required when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
* Must speak and understand English. * Kind, calm, patient, professional and respectful. * Must follow instructions from my mum and family. * Excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness standards. * Must answer calls/messages promptly. * No visitors allowed. * Confidentiality and trust are essential. * Must be comfortable with strict household rules. * Must be prepared to stay overnight when required due to mum being sick or needing assistance. * Must be available to work selected weekends when required. * Must be medically fit and able to perform the duties of the position safely and effectively.
IMPORTANT NOTES
* This is a workplace, not a personal residence.
* Must always be conscious of saving electricity, water, detergents as everything is expensive and mum is a pensioner. * You must bring your own lunch, tea and snacks. No alcohol or pork allowed in the flat. * You are not allowed any visitors under any circumstances. * No stealing zero tolerance. * Must have sober habits no alcohol/ drugs. * Overnight stays may be required when mum is sick or needs assistance and will continue until she is better or overnight assistance is no longer required. * Selected weekend work may be required when mum needs to leave the flat for any reason or requires assistance.
This position is not permanent and the duties, hours and rules may change as mums needs change.
