- Design and develop mechanical machines, assemblies, and components from concept through to production.
- Produce detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and design documentation.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including manufacturing, electrical, and project engineering.
- Support prototype development, testing, and the commissioning of machines.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Ensure that designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality specifications.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation phases.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years experience in machine design within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar).
- Experience with design calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and mechanical systems integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
