Job Description & Summary

  • The primary aim of our Delivering Deal Value service offering is to provide advice and support on the operational and value creation challenges arising on Merger and Acquisition "M&A" transactions acquisitions, disposals and carve-outs and legal restructurings.

Responsibilities of role

DDV focuses on providing advice and support for potential / actual transactions and assists clients in all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion, including:

  • Pre-deal integration / separation complexity assessments
  • Compile financial information and operational considerations on a business to be carved out
  • Develop an integration / separation strategy including interim and target operating model and related Day 1 readiness / 100 Day planning
  • Compile a Value Creation bridge setting out all levers strategic, operational, balance sheet / tax and other
  • Develop and tailor implementation workplans per functional area relating to an acquisition or divestment
  • Develop and roll-out a change management and communication plan
  • Implementation and programme management support status reporting, maintain RAID registers, monitor delivery of critical steps / business case
  • Integration / separation health checks

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Around 6 to 8 years of experience in working on change or integration projects, business improvement engagements and delivering quantifiable benefit to organisations either in industry or advisory
  • Holds a professional qualification CASA, CIMA, MBA or similar
  • Exposure to merger integrations and / or carve-outs
  • Comfort around financial analysis and an understanding of the key business drivers
  • Experience in running large change projects

  • Good communication skills verbal, report writing, presenting and facilitating meetings
  • Ability to develop internal / external networks and identify / drive business development initiatives
  • Pro-active mindset and ability to operate on own initiative
  • Ability to manage various stakeholders and coordinate large teams on change projects
  • Ability to identify and understand key drivers of a business
